Two Sierra Vista men were arrested on felony charges following an altercation on Saturday.
A witness reported a fight near Moorman Avenue and Fry Boulevard at about 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. An investigation determined that 21-year-old Timothy McGarry, of Sierra Vista, chased the victim, with a bat and put him in a choke hold. The witness who reported the incident broke up the altercation but McGarry stole the victim’s cell phone. McGarry then gave the phone to 20-year-old Brandon Wakatani, also of Sierra Vista, and they drove away.
McGarry and Wakatani were located and arrested by the Sierra Vista Police Department later that same day. McGarry was charged with aggravated assault and robbery, while Wakatani was charged with robbery. They were booked into the Cochise County jail.
