Maricopa County Assault Suspects Sought

On September 8, 2015 at approximately 3:00 a.m,, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a subject with a gunshot wound. When they arrived they located the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot injury to his right leg.

Tonopah Fire responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Throughout the course of the investigation MCSO Deputies learned the victim was assaulted by Daniel Guerrero, John Heine and Lisa Petke near the area of Buckeye and 367th Avenue in Tonopah. It was learned Lisa was known or familiar with the victim and that she, Daniel, and John assaulted the victim while he was sleeping ultimately threatening to kill him.

It was reported by the victim that during the assault both Daniel and John were armed with firearms, and Lisa was armed with a blunt object. The victim stated that Lisa struck him with the blunt object. When the victim tried to run, he was shot in the leg. It was alleged that certain property was taken from the victim at gunpoint before the suspects fled the area.

The suspects, Daniel Guerrero and John Heine are still outstanding and presumed to be armed and dangerous.
