Apparent Early Morning Serial Robber Strikes Gila Bend

On Monday September 28,2015 at approximately 1:33 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at a local convenience store in the community of Gila Bend Arizona. The suspect is described as a White, Hispanic, or Native American male of Average height with a thin build wearing a dark colored “hoodie” type sweatshirt with the hood drawn up and what appeared to be a shirt and glasses covering the remainder of his face. The suspect brandished a pistol and demanded the money from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.

On Tuesday September 29, 2015 at approximately 2:03 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at another local convenience store in the community of Gila Bend Arizona. The suspect is described as a White, Hispanic, or Native American male of average height with a thin build wearing a green “hoodie” type sweatshirt with the hood drawn up and a possible blue in color bandana covering his face. The suspect brandished a pistol and demanded the cash from the register before fleeing the area on foot.

Based on the similar modus operandi of both incidents as well as the similar suspect description, MCSO investigators believe these robberies to have been committed by the same person. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for any members of the community who might have information regarding these two robberies to come forward and assist in this investigation. Photos of the suspect have been included to help in the identification of the suspect.
