On October 20th, Tempe Detectives arrested 23 year old Anwar Dogka at the Tempe Police Department for the murder of 43 year old Dana Mullen which occurred last week in the area of 1100 E. Bluebell, Tempe. Dogka was an acquaintance of Dana Mullen and stated he was under the influence of methamphetamine and heroin at the time of the incident when he shot Dana multiple times. Dogka fled the scene of the incident in his vehicle, but was later located by detectives.
After Dogka was identified as the potential suspect, detectives located and contacted him on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at which time he was arrested on other charges and booked into Maricopa County Jail. As Dogka was in jail they continued to investigate the homicide of Dana Mullen. Tonight Anwar Dogka was transported to the Tempe Police Headquarters where he was arrested for the following charges:
• 1st Degree Murder
• Misconduct Involving Weapons
• Discharge of a Firearm within City Limits
• Possession of Dangerous Drugs
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
