On Sunday just before 8:00 a.m., the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office was called about an accident about 2 miles west of Gila Bend on the frontage road. The driver has been identified as 49 year old, Felix Fuentes, of Gila Bend.
The car Mr. Fuentes was driving east bound when it collided head on with bridge railing. Fuentes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Fuentes was the only occupant in the sedan. The cause of the accident remains under investigation pending the results of the medical examiners examination.
