$98K In Marijuana Seized At Douglas Port

Officers arrested Arvin Yosua Acuna-Diaz, 22, of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, on Nov.7 after a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted to the back of his Ford truck where officers then discovered more than 107 pounds of marijuana worth nearly $54,000.CBP officers at the Port of Douglas discovered packages of marijuana within the seats of a smuggling vehicle

The day before, officers arrested Feliciano Chacon, 19, of Tucson, after a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted to his Honda SUV containing more than 88 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $44,000, concealed in the gas tank and throughout the vehicle’s interior.

Officers seized all drugs and vehicles, and turned both subjects over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
