Oro Valley Thieves Prefer Tide

Oro Valley has some of the dirtiest politicians around and possibly some of the cleanest thieves. The Oro Valley Police Department is trying to identify two suspects involved in a theft of laundry detergent and other cleaning products from the Safeway grocery store located at 12122 N. Rancho Vistoso Boulevard.

On September 17, 2015 at approximately 5 p.m., a man entered Safeway and stole seven jugs of Tide detergent. He pushed the cart containing the detergent out the front door and may have gotten into a silver car. The items stolen were valued at $140.

On October 16, 2015 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the same man, along with an accomplice, entered the same Safeway. They began putting alcohol, razors, steaks and other toiletries into a cart. They loaded up seven jugs of Tide into the cart and walked out of the store. The value of the items were valued at $683.00.

The suspects are described as a White or Hispanic male in his mid-thirties and a Hispanic male in his early to mid-twenties. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Young at (520) 229-4943, 911 or 88-crime
