Mitchel Peterson turned himself in to a court in the Verde Valley and is currently being booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center. Due to extensive media reports, the suspect quickly learned he was being sought for the outstanding warrants and agreed to surrender Thursday.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has been asking that anyone knowing the whereabouts of 33-year-old Mitchel Peterson is urged to call YCSO at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. Callers to Silent Witness are eligible for a cash reward if the information leads to Peterson’s arrest.
Peterson currently has 5 outstanding warrants for the following charges:+
1. Probation Violation / Theft (felony)
2. Failure to Pay – Child Support
3. Failure to Pay
4. Failure to Appear – Driving on a Suspended License
5. Failure to Pay – Child Support
Peterson is a male/white/ 6’ tall, approximately 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. It is unknown if Peterson still has the facial hair pictured in the 2014 photo. His last known home is address is in the 1200 block of Bates Road, Cottonwood. Unconfirmed reports indicate he may also frequent the Payson area.
