Maricopa County Wrong Way Driver Arrested

On November 20 at around 3:24 a.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputies received an ATL (Attempt to locate) broadcast from the Department of Public Safety. The information broadcasted via MCSO radio was of a “Wrong Way Driver” driving southbound in the northbound lanes on I-17 near MP245. The ATL information also mentioned that the suspected vehicle had possibly struck another vehicle and kept going.

Sheriff’s deputies who were in the area quickly responded in an attempt to locate and stop the suspected vehicle.

Approximately 15 minutes later, sheriff deputies spotted the vehicle driving southbound just north of Table Mesa Road. The vehicle’s rear right tire was missing and driving on the rim at speeds of 60-65MPH. The vehicle was also driving all over the roadway. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to yield.

A short pursuit ensued until the vehicle pulled over on I-17 just South of New River Road. The driver, Jason Dall was taken into custody without incident by sheriff’s deputies and State Troopers.

Sheriff’s Deputies booked Jason Dall into 4th Ave Jail for Unlawful Flight from Law Enforcement.

There were no reported incidents involving other vehicles and Jason Dall’s vehicle.
