The Tucson Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night in the 4200 block of East 29th Street.
On December 2, 2015, around 7:40 p.m., officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of East 29th Street and North Columbus Boulevard. Upon arrival, they located an 18 year-old male in a parking lot of an apartment complex inside a vehicle.
The male was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and officers immediately began rendering aid utilizing their Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK). Members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to the scene and took over treatment. The male was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation. They conducted interviews and collected evidence. Preliminary information revealed a dark colored, late 1990’s extended cab or dual cab truck was potentially involved in the incident. No suspects have been identified at this time. The investigation is in the early stages. The detectives are urging anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
