Trump Storms Arizona, Thousands Turnout

Only days after Senator John McCain was unable to draw more than a few hundred Arizonans to his rally in Mesa, thousands fled to Phoenix for a Trump rally. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio opened the rally held at a Phoenix area airport.

Popular Republican Party leader AJ LaFaro said of the event, “Donald Trump’s continued favor-ability in the political polls, stellar debate performances and hugely successful campaign rally turnouts like the one in Mesa, Arizona on December 16, 2015, have set the stage for an exciting 2016 Election Cycle. Mr. Trump is well on his way to being the Republican Party’s Presidential Nominee.”

As Trump made his entrance and exit as the song “We’re Not Going to Take It” by Twisted Sister played.

“We are going to make America great again, better than ever before,” Trump told the throng. He covered the standard topics including Common Core and the southern border.

Trump called Common Core “a bureaucratic nightmare, and said “We’re bringing education back locally.”

He said that Second Amendment rights were in danger. “We cannot let them take that way from us, and believe me, there is a movement to take it away.”

Trump said he was never going to eat Oreos again in reference to Nabisco plans to move a factory to Mexico. He claimed that he said he would bring back jobs to the United States, but offered no specifics.

“We are going to stop illegal immigration,” Trump told the boisterous crowd. “We have to. If we don’t stop it, we don’t have a country.” He did offer specifics about the wall however, saying that it would be a beautiful wall because some day they’ll name it after me, and I want it to be beautiful.”
