Border Patrol Nabs Previously Deported Sex Offender

Border Patrol agents arrested a Honduran national who was later determined to be a convicted sex offender and was previously deported four times.

Osman Antonio Caseres-Munoz, 37, was encountered after he illegally entered the United States through the Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Refuge, near Yuma Sector’s forward operating base, Camp Grip, Dec. 16.

In 2001, Caseres was arrested in Lawrenceburg, Ind., by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office on charges of rape and juvenile sexual battery. He was later convicted and sentenced to three years in prison, but was deported after serving only a year of his sentence.

Caseres will be processed per Yuma Sector guidelines.
