Casa Grande Accepting Applications For 2016 Leadership Academy

The City of Casa Grande is now accepting applications for the 2016 Leadership Academy, an eight week program designed to educate citizens on how their local government works. Offered by the City since 2003, this free training opportunity provides a behind the scenes look at what it takes to keep Casa Grande running. Each week, participants learn about a new facet of the City through presentations and tours by department directors, elected officials, and local community stakeholders.

The Leadership Academy is held every year from February through March, and is provided to 25 participants. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Casa Grande. The City of Casa Grande partners with the Arizona Public Service Company to sponsor this program, and graduates often go on to volunteer for nonprofit or City boards, commissions, and committees.

Additional information, including a registration form and class schedule, can be found online at www.casagrandeaz.gov/LeadershipAcademy. All applications must be received by Friday, January 8th.
