YUMA, Ariz. – Air and Marine Operations pilots from Yuma Branch guided Wellton Station Border Patrol agents to the location of six illegal aliens attempting to smuggle 275 pounds of marijuana through the Sonoran Desert on Dec. 21.
The smugglers were spotted after they had illegally entered through the Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Refuge. Agents place the marijuana’s valued at approximately $137,500.
