The Cochise county Sheriff’s Office says it has been working closely with the USDA Wildlife Services in the area of wildlife issues within the county to include animals identified as being positive for the rabies virus.
The latest results have two positive rabies cases in skunks, one in Cochise County from the area of North 7th Street in Sierra Vista.
The Sheriff’s office advises that with the colder weather, more animals are travelling to locations where they can get food and water, and do not leave pet food outside during the evening/night time hours and limit water sources during those same time periods.
