The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office reports that a skunk was euthanized and tested for the rabies virus after an altercation with a dog on Ft. Huachuca.
The skunk tested positive for rabies and the dog has been quarantined.
Authorities ask members of the public to make sure your pets are vaccinated and don’t approach wildlife you may encounter in your daily activities.
