If you have a fake ID, there are a few hot spots in Tempe you just might want to avoid. Tempe Police have identified the top five fake ID seizing businesses.
The Tempe business establishments were commended on their “partnership and commitment to providing a fun – and safe – environment for everyone visiting Tempe,” by Tempe Police.
During calendar year 2015, the Tempe Police Department and establishments licensed to sell alcohol within the Downtown District together seized a total of 1,556 fictitiously used identifications by underage persons attempting to gain access to liquor establishments.
Tempe Police and licensed establishments in the Downtown District work together year round to prevent underage individuals from using false identification. Police Officers provide training to staff and management on current trends, and on how to spot falsified ID cards.
