Phoenix resident Alex Buckner, 26, was shot and killed by police after he shot and killed members of his family and set their home on fire. Buckner killed four of his family members including his two younger sisters, Kaitlin Buckner, age 18, and Emma, age 6.
Buckner’s parents, Vic, age 50, and Kimberly, age 49, were also killed.
Phoenix firefighters and police officers responded to the family’s home in the area of 47th Avenue and Cactus Road in the early morning hours.
According to an AP report, Buckner’s wounded sister, Kaitlin, called 911 before 5 a.m. and reported that Buckner had open fire, according to AZ Central.
The initial call came from Kaitlin who said her brother shot her.
Kaitlin and Emily were transported to an area hospital where both succumbed to their injuries.
