The City of Tempe has partnered with Google, Downtown Tempe and PCL Construction to present the 5th annual Geeks Night Out from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 at Tempe City Hall, 31 E. 5th St.
Tempe’s Geeks Night Out is an Arizona Sci-Tech Festival signature event. This fusion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) is an experience not to be missed. Enthusiasts and Geeks of all ages are invited to Discover the Science at this free, family-friendly event.
“The Geeks Night Out platform brings Tempe students, companies and the community together to Discover the Science in everyday things,” stated Tempe Councilmember Robin Arredondo-Savage. “This is a unique opportunity for Tempe to showcase what’s happening right now in our classrooms and businesses.”
A variety of interactive STEAM displays and hands-on activities are being hosted by students from local Tempe elementary, middle and high schools, colleges and universities, community organizations, City departments, as well as the local business sector.
There will be music and entertainment, as well as the annual Phoenix Comicon costume parade and contest.
