Trump’s  Trumperies

Donald Trump is a businessperson used to issuing orders and having them obeyed.  In many ways, Trump is very much like Barack Obama.  They both insist on issuing executive orders to get things done.

Obama and Trump appeal to populist notions: Obama is appealing for populist notions from the socialist spectrum; Trump does so from a national socialist spectrum. Former Mexican President Vincente Fox likens Trump to Hitler, who was a national socialist. Fox is not the first person to make this comparison. Former Mexican President Felipe Calderon and former New Jersey Governor Christie Todd Whitman also made the comparison.

Early in campaigning, Donald Trump trashed Chris Christie by calling him a little boy.  Now Trump calls Marco Rubio a little boy. He’s called his opponents “liar,”

“loser,” “stupid,” and worse.  Everyone opposing Trump is bad, so label them something. Trump needs a thesauras because he keeps repeating himself.  He sounds like a petulant little child in the middle of the playground screaming at the top of his lungs: so immature.

Another example of Trump’s immaturity is labeling a woman neurotic. Trump the psychiatrist now?  Please! Trump called Megan Kelly a “bimbo.” He also said of Megan that “you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her —whatever.”

Donald Trump refuses to release his tax returns because, allegedly, his return are being audited for the last twelve years. Yet the IRS states it goes back only four years or so, but only if it finds discrepancies. Mitt Romney raised a question about Trump not releasing his returns and Trump lost it, tweeting the Mitt Romney was “one of the dumbest and worst candidates in the history of Republican politics.” Another Trump temper tantrum: it appears so childish.

Trump attacked Marco Rubio for buying a house and selling it for a profit. Trump’s business filed for bankruptcy four times in twenty-five years. How good a business person is Donald Trump?

At the peak of the housing bubble, Trump announced the beginning of Trump mortgage. He hired an alleged top executive of a Wall Street investment bank. In reality this executive was a registered stock broker for a total of six days. Donald, don’t you perform due diligence background checks on your employees? Six top executives left Trump Mortgage in the first six months. Within eighteen months Trumpo Mortgage failed.

In October 1988 Trump started, what else, Trump Airlines by purchasing Eastern Air Shuttle, that had been in business twenty-seven years, for approximately $365 million. Four years later, Trump defaulted on his loans and Trump Airlines ceased to exist. Something called Trump Vodka was introduced in 2006 to much fanfare. Six years later Trump Vodka ceased to exists.

Back to the Trump attacks. Before the Iowa caucus, Donald Trump was caught asking “How stupid are the people of Iowa?” He was referring to ben Carson’s favorable polls. Trump also called Carson a “violent criminal” and “pathologiocal liar.”

Donald Trump blames Mexican immigrants for all sorts of societal problems and promises to displace them back to Mexico. Adolph Hitler did the same thing to Jews in Germany pre-WWII: he marginalized, displaced them and eventually began exterminating them.

Trump’s national socialist populism appeals to the middle and lower classes through his attack on legal aliens taking away jobs Americans rightly deserve.

In Trump’s world, illegal Mexicans are the equivalent of Hitler’s Jews.

All this makes one question Trump’s mental stability. Bobby Jindal wrote that “Donald Trump is a shallow, unserious, substance-free, narcissistic egomaniac.”

In fact Jindal listed some of the key characteristics of narcissism, including :insecure, weak, and afraid of being exposed.”  This is key to Trump’s refusal to publish his tax returns.

Donald Trump is unable to filter his speech; he is unable to think before he speaks. Witness all the childish attacks on his opponents.  Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his rudeness and arrogance; he is unable to be civil and courteous.

He has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of respect for women.  These are not the traits Americans want in a President.

Donald Trump is not fit to be President.
