Glendale–18 yr Old Destiny Avalos Missing

Glendale, Ariz. – On March 7, 2016, at approximately 8 pm, Glendale Police responded to a call for service for a missing person. The mother of 18-year old Destiny Avalos called to report her daughter missing. She told officers that she dropped her daughter off near Independence High School, where she is a student, at about 7:45am. She last saw her walking towards campus.

At lunchtime, Destiny’s boyfriend contacted her mother checking on her whereabouts as he had not seen her at school. Destiny then began to send messages to friends and family stating that she didn’t know where she was and that she was scared. She had also messaged her boyfriend earlier in the day about being followed by some unknown females. The messages have continued today, but police have been unable to verify her well-being or location.

Destiny is a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’4” tall and weighs 140 pounds and was last seen wearing a black Marilyn Monroe t-shirt and blue jeans .
