On Tuesday April 12, Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Alan Rognlin, 62 years old at 8810 W. Monterrey Way in Phoenix after a search warrant was conducted at Rognlin’s residence and found hundreds of child pornography images and videos on his personal computer.
Rognlin, a convicted sex offender out of Washington State since 1978 and also a convicted felon, was found to have downloaded, possessed and shared child pornography over the internet from his personal computer.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Computer Forensic detectives found hundreds of videos and pornographic images containing mostly girls between the ages of 3 and 10 years of age. Forensic files also discovered Monday, April 11th, 2016, Rognlin’s computer’s I.P. address was used more than any other computer address in the entire state of Arizona to share child pornographic videos or images that day with over 1100 files being shared.
Arpaio says in the last few weeks, there have been multiple arrests by his detectives of child predators. He will continue to emphasize bringing these types of violators to justice.
Rognlin was booked into the 4th Ave jail on 10 counts Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a class 2 Felony and Dangerous Crime against Children.
