On Monday, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Ryan Brooks, age 32, on Armed Robbery charges. Brooks entered Bob’s variety store in Sun City West on the afternoon of May 6, and asked for a piece of paper and a pen when he spoke to an employee.
He wrote “Give me $ I have a gun don’t scream” on the paper and gave it to the employee at the counter. Brooks pulled a Black handgun out from the front of his pants and showed the employee.
The employee pulled out $80 dollars from the cash register and gave it to Brooks who quickly left the store.
Sheriff’s detectives were able to pull a finger print off the letter brooks wrote and left behind at the store.
Detectives executed a search warrant on Brooks home but he already fled. Yesterday Sheriff’s detectives received a tip and located Brooks who was hiding close by in a dumpster and was taken into custody and booked into the 4th Ave jail on an Armed Robbery charge.
