Phoenix officials have identified Officer David Glasser of the Phoenix Police Department as the officer shot and mortally wounded while responding to a residence burglary in Laveen yesterday.
“He’s a good man,” said Police Chief Yahner yesterday in front of St. Joseph’s Hospital as Officer Glasser fought for his life.
The 35 year old officer had been with the Phoenix Police Department for 12 years. He served in the Maryvale precinct with the unit’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team.
Glasser was shot responding to burglary at a residence near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road around 2:30 p.m., on May 18.
