On May 21, 2016, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Foothills District deputies responded to the Pima Animal Care Center reference an inmate walking away from a work crew.
Inmate Cathleen Stein was working as part of an inmate work crew when she disappeared. Ms. Stein was in custody, serving time for a probation violation and was due to be released in mid-June.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Investigative Strike Team have taken over the investigation.
Ms. Stein is a 49-year-old Caucasian female with blonde hair, blue eyes, 5’08” tall, and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red Pima County Jail uniform.
Anyone with knowledge on the whereabouts of Ms. Stein, is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
