Casa Grande Earns 2016 Playful City USA Designation

The City of Casa Grande has recieved a 2016 Playful City USA designation for the seventh year. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the national recognition program honors cities and towns across the country for making their cities more playable.

Casa Grande was one of only 257 communities across the country to receive this national recognition.

Casa Grande is joining communities across the country in creating innovative ways to bring back play and attract residents through family friendly activities. Among its amenities are 23 parks, all of which are open to residents and visitors, as well as a Mountain Park containing 20 miles of hiking trails, providing families with an opportunity to recreate in an outdoor setting. Recreation programs are also offered for youth and adults of all ages.

The City of Casa Grande is also currently in the process of building a Community Recreation Center that will allow the department to expand it classes and provide the community with additional recreational outlets to be active. The center will be available for adults and children of all ages.
