Approximately 90 firefighters have responded to the human-caused Reservoir Fire located at C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) Reservoir, which began earlier this morning as a 10-acre fire on unincorporated private land south of the boat ramp.

Current estimates put the fire now at 100 acres. Several private residences northeast of the reservoir are threatened, of which two were occupied and self-evacuated. The Moqui Lookout Tower was also evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Forest Road 751-the main forest road that leads to the reservoir-will be closed to vehicles at Rock Crossing Campground for public safety as firefighting equipment and personnel use the road.

Resources on scene include two Type 1 crews, one water tender, three patrol units, one Fuels crew, five engines, one dozer and one helitanker.

The Reservoir Fire is under the jurisdiction of the Arizona State Forestry.
