On Monday June 13, 2016, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office has been advised of a new phone scam in the Sierra Vista area.
The caller reported having a robo call message left on their answering machine that stated, “This si the Tax Audit Department and you need to call back the second you get this message or the county Sheriff will come for you. We are filing in federal claims court on you for five criminal violations. Call 315-207-5762 immediately.”
The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is warning our citizens that this is a phone scam and please do not fall victim to these thieves.
