On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 7:13 a.m. the Pinal County Sheriff’s 9-1-1 Communications Center received a call regarding a dead body in a canal. The reporting party worked for an irrigation company and said the body was up against a grate in the McFarland-Fannin Aqueduct near Bella Vista Road and North Quail Run Road in San Tan Valley.
Deputies and detectives responded to the scene and the body was recovered. Detectives have been able to identify the deceased as Keith A. Long age 51 of Apache Junction.
The circumstances surrounding his death are suspicious and detectives are asking anybody who may have information to call our office at 520-866-5111.
