On August 4, 2016, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to the Food City located at 2950 South 6th Avenue for a report of a sexual assault. When deputies arrived, they learned a female was kidnapped by a male wielding a gun.
She was driven to an unknown location and sexually assaulted. After the assault, the victim was dropped off at a fast food restaurant where she called 911. Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit were called to investigate and identified 44-year-old Calvin Lee Fox. Detectives met with Fox and charged him with one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping. He was subsequently booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
The investigation is still ongoing.
