The University of Arizona Athletics Department was notified early Monday morning that senior offensive lineman Zach Hemmila passed away in his sleep last night. “Zach was a great young man and everyone in the program is hurting,” said an emotional Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez.
“As Coach said, he’s a great young man, and we are just so deeply saddened,”” said Arizona Athletic Director Greg Byrne. “Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, the team, his teammates, the coaches and everybody involved.”

Zach put this in my phone to remind me to pick him up for practice one day. Never changed it, never will. #Forever65 pic.twitter.com/hpGHEOJ4lO
