On Saturday, following an investigation by detectives from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Bureau, 41-year-old Kenneth Blair was booked for the murder of his wife, 41-year-old Delissa Blair. The victim was pregnant at the time resulting in a second count of murder involving their unborn child.
The couple has two children, ages 5 and 11, who were home at the time and not injured.
Kenneth originally called YCSO just before 5:00 a.m. claiming he accidently shot his wife as they struggled over a handgun.
When deputies arrived, they found Delissa lying on the bed suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. She was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead. Kenneth was detained and eventually admitted in a follow-up interview that he became upset with Delissa and shot her.
He was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center around 10 PM last night on 2 counts of 2nd Degree Murder.
