Man Who Traveled From Mexico To Phoenix Delivering Heroin, Meth Sentenced

Carlos Vasquez-Franco, a convicted drug trafficker was sentenced Vasquez-Franco to 8 years in prison for selling heroin and methamphetamine. Vasquez-Franco, 37, pled guilty to Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale.

In February 2016, a State Grand Jury indicted Vasquez-Franco after an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the HIDTA Task Force.

Vasquez-Franco is from Nogales, Sonora and traveled to the Phoenix area to deliver heroin and methamphetamine to customers of a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization. Law enforcement seized approximately 34 pounds of heroin and 25 pounds of methamphetamine from Vasquez-Franco. He was arrested in February 2016.

The judge also ordered Vasquez-Franco to pay more than $21,000 in drug fines.
