This Veteran’s Day across Arizona veterans will be honored for their service. From Flagstaff to Phoenix to Sierra Vista those brave men and women will be the focus of community events.

The East Valley Veterans Parade provides an opportunity for the community to gather in honoring, thanking and celebrating local Veterans, active Military, and their families. The East Valley Veterans Parade starts on Center Street and University in Mesa and runs South on Center St. to 1st St, it then turns west onto 1st St. and continues to Robson. Payson Veterans Day Services

The program includes speeches, special tributes and music. Retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Bill Sahno opens the program. His welcome is followed by comments about the Veterans Memorial in Green Valley Park; the presentation of colors; the National Anthem; invocation; announcing the program’s theme; and opening remarks from Payson Mayor Kenny Evans.

The opening portion is followed by a special presentation by Darlene Daniels and the “Little People” – a program by youngsters to honor veterans.

“Honoring Women in the Military; past, Present and Future,” Prescott Veterans Day Parade
Friday November 11 11:00 a.m.
Downtown Prescott
The parade will honor female veterans. Opening ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Yavapai County Courthouse. The parade will pause at 11:11 a.m. for a fly-over and reading of the proclamation to commemorate the end of World War I, on Nov. 11, 1918.

Sierra Vista

Sierra Vista’s 22nd annual Veterans Day Parade
Friday, November 11 starting at 9 a.m. and ending at about 10:30 a.m.
The public is invited to view the parade to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. A short public ceremony in Veterans’ Memorial Park will follow the parade and will include brief remarks by Sierra Vista Mayor Rick Mueller and Army Maj. Gen. John Baker, commanding general of Network Enterprise Technology Command.
