The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify the pictured armed bank robbery suspect.
Just before 2:00 p.m. today the suspect entered the Safeway Grocery Store at 6360 E Golf Links Rd. He walked to the US Bank inside of the store and asked about opening an account.
When asked for identification, the suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at the teller, demanding money from the drawer. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then fled from the store on foot.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-30 years old, at least 6′ tall, with a thin build and dark colored wig. He was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt with “New York 76” on the front, blue jeans, sunglasses and was carrying a leopard print purse.
