On December 9, 2016, 43-year-old Lynn Trombley of Yarnell was reported missing by a friend. Lynne resides at a home in the 22000 block of Looka Way, Yarnell, and was last seen there on December 8, 2016, around 4:30 p.m. It appears she left the neighborhood on foot and does not have access to a car.
Since the initial report, deputies completed searches of adjacent areas near her home and have contacted neighbors, family, and friends with no success of finding Lynne. Deputies also checked with local hotels, hospitals and the fire department and no one has had contact with Lynne. It was thought possible she was hiking in the mountains east of Yarnell and possibly wearing grey calf high boots and a black coat.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Sunday, the body of Lynne Trombley was found in a remote area south east of the town of Yarnell. An investigation is underway, but preliminary findings indicate no evidence of foul play. Trombley’s family has been notified. Cause of death is pending an examination by the Medical Examiner.
