Scottsdale Family Killed In Plane Crash Near Payson

On January 2, 2017 at 9:48 p.m., the Gila County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Scottsdale Police Department regarding on overdue plane, a Cessna 210, that had departed from Scottsdale traveling to Telluride, Colorado and had never made it. It was reported that four people, Eric Falbe, his wife Carrie, and daughters Victoria, age 14, and Skylar, age 12, were on board.

A cell phone was pinged and Sheriff’s Office Deputies working with the Arizona Department of Public Safety Ranger Helicopter and the Air Force Civil Air Patrol located the downed aircraft north-west of Washington Park.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
