On Friday, at approximately 3:50 a.m., the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Phoenix Police Department about a gunshot victim who was dropped off at Arizona General Hospital, located at 7171 S. 51st Ave.
The victim was airlifted from there to St. Joseph’s Hospital in serious condition. Through investigation MCSO determined the address of 5438 W. La Mirada was involved. While at the residence subjects inside the home were not coming out and being uncooperative. MCSO SWAT responded and was able to detain about 14 people who were inside the home.
Several people are being questioned about the incident however MCSO is in the beginning stages of this investigation. The adult male victim has died, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. He has been identified as 22-year-old Irvin A. Salazar-Murillo from Glendale.
According to MCSO, the incident stems from an overnight party that resulted in the shooting of the victim. A premises history was done on the residence and a history of parties and loud music was found.
Homicide detectives are still on scene investigating as this case remains under investigation.
