Pedestrian Killed At Tucson Greyhound Bus Terminal

On January 19, 2017, at approximately 7:00 a.m., citizens walking in the area of the Tucson Greyhound Bus Terminal called 911 after locating an unresponsive person lying in the roadway. Tucson Fire and officers from the Downtown District responded, however the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives were able to determine that the victim had obvious signs of trauma consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle. At this time, the driver and vehicle involved are unknown.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old James Michael Reinhardt. Next of kin has been notified. An autopsy is scheduled for today to assist with the investigation and help determine the exact cause of death.

The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance and is asking anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME. You CAN remain anonymous.

The roadway where the victim was located is on a stretch of private property belonging to the bus terminal. Due to the fact that the collision occurred on private property, it does not meet the Department of Public Safety standards of a roadway collision.
