As Tucson Police detectives continued their investigation into last year’s October 23rd homicide of Israel Dominguez Alfarol, information was developed that linked 38-year-old Joseph Torres to the shooting.
On February 1, 2017, members of the Arizona Wanted Task Force located Torres in Tucson and took him into custody. Torres was booked into the Pima County Jail for Second Degree Murder.
Alice Puente, had been involved in an earlier physical altercation. Several hours after the altercation, Dominguez Alfarol and his brother were walking in the area of 7th and Lincoln when a blue SUV pulled up next to them, a fight ensued.
Detectives are still attempting to identify the additional suspects involved in the shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 88-CRIME.
