On Thursday, February 9, 2017, at approximately 6:35 a.m., investigators with the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of North Jennifer Avenue in Somerton, Arizona. With the assistance of YCSO K-9 “Jax”, the search led to the discovery of approximately 13 grams of cocaine contained in 21 individually wrapped packages and additional paraphernalia consistent with street sales.
The cocaine has an approximate street value of $650.00.
The residence is located within the vicinity of the Somerton Middle School and in an area with multiple school bus stops.
The suspect of the search warrant, Anival Lira-Galindo, 34, of Somerton, Arizona, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs for sale in a drug free school zone, and possession of drugs in a drug free school zone.
