On Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the area of South Swan Road and East Valencia Road to a report that 21-year-old Michael Hartman, who had been riding a skateboard had been hit by a vehicle, and the vehicle had left the scene.
On Thursday night, Mr. Hartman was pronounced deceased.
After interviewing witnesses, it was determined the suspect vehicle had been travelling northbound on Swan Rd when it collided with Mr. Hartman. Witnesses also stated the vehicle did not slow down or stop at any time, but continued northbound until it was out of the area.
The vehicle is described as a tan in color mid-2000s Toyota Corolla with possible damage to the windshield and right-front end. The driver was described as a light-skinned male with dark hair.
