PCSO’s Search and Rescue was called out Friday to Picacho Peak State Park and located 67-year-old woman approximately 1/2 way up the Calloway trail with a fractured ankle.
With assistance from Picacho Peak State Park Rangers and the Avra Valley Fire Department, she was loaded into a stoke basket and carried down the trail to an awaiting ambulance.
She was taken to a local hospital to be treated.
