WITTMAN – A suspect has been taken into custody by Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office personnel after an hours-long barricade situation in Wittmann on Christmas Day.
MCSO SWAT and negotiators have brought the standoff to a conclusion. The suspect was taken into custody after the deployment of one of our K9’s. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to US 60 and Patton Road in response to a report of an armed robbery.
When deputies arrived at the scene, officials say shots were fired b the barricaded suspect.
After several hours, deputies were able to take the suspect into custody when a K9 was deployed, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
