Arizona National Guard Relief Effort Delivers

PHOENIX – Last week, Governor Doug Ducey activated the National Guard to assist grocery stores and food banks with re-stocking shelves in the face of heightened demand created by the COVID-19 health crisis. By Sunday, the soldiers were in action.

On Saturday morning, the Arizona National Guard met with grocery executives to review logistics on how best to help stores restock.

About 2,050 National Guard soldiers and airmen in 27 states have been activated to support COVID-19 response efforts, according to the National Guard Bureau.
