Kaibab National Forest crews continue to manage fires

Crews will continue managing three fires across the Kaibab National Forest.  Crews on all fires are reporting good consumption of fuels, protection of archeological sites, and wildlife habitat benefits.

Officials say that the fires help make local communities more resilient by reducing the threat of future high intensity wildfires.

Williams Ranger District: Currently 1700 acres in size, the Sitgreaves Complex is located approximately 5 miles northwest of Parks, AZ. A community meeting for the greater Parks, AZ area has been scheduled for Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 5:30pm at the Maine School Gymnasium.
