The 4th is full of fun around Southern Arizona. From Tucson to Nogales, there is something to do :

Tucson

49th Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast & Parade   7:00 a.m.
3300 Block of East Camden
Everyone is cordially invited to have breakfast ($3) and partake in the parade. The theme is Red,White, & Blue! This longest running non-mechanized 4th of July Parade is the oldest.

“Let Freedom Sing” Concert 3:00
University of Arizona
Centennial Hall
Arts Express is presenting “Let Freedom Sing,” a concert of your favorite patriotic songs, including The Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, and The Battle Hymn of the Republic. The event is free but a ticket is required for guaranteed seating. A minimum donation of $10 is suggested to help support youth arts education scholarships.

‘A’ Mountain Fireworks Party @ Mercado 5:00 p.m.
100 S. Avenida del Convento
Mercado San Agustin in Downtown Tucson will feature food trucks, a pig roast, live music and cold drinks from 5 – 10 p.m., with a perfect view spot for the A Mountain fireworks, set to start around 9pm.

American Career Builders Institute   7:00 p.m.
1901 W. Copper Street
Food and music. Fireworks at 8:45 p.m. Events run 7-11 p.m. $25. Tickets at www.thecars4vets.org online. 396-9837. Registration for the related Motorcycle Poker Run through Gates Pass begins at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 7, 331 W. Franklin St.

“A” Mountain Fireworks start at   9:15 p.m.
The Tucson tradition continued with fireworks on ‘A’ Mountain scheduled to begin at about 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Suggested viewing locations include:
• Tucson Convention Center Parking Lot B, off Granada Ave. between Congress St. and Cushing St. Parking is free and food/drinks will be sold from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• The 22nd Street Lot at the Interstate 10 frontage road (northeast corner)
• The Mercado West End Dirt Lot, south of Congress Street and west of the Santa Cruz River. (Vendors will be selling food)
• The City/State Parking Garage at 498 W. Congress, at the northeastquadrant of I-10 and Congress Street

Marana

Marana’s Arizona Pavilions district   6:00 p.m.
Arizona Pavilions District – Near I-10 and Cortaro Road
6:00 p.m. Festivities Begin
9:00 p.m. Fireworks Show
At Crossroads at Silverbell Park there will be a movie, kids activities and games. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the fireworks show. The Movie in the Park will be “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer” and will start at 7:45 p.m.

Tubac

Tubac Golf Resort & Spa   4 p.m.
1 Avenida de Otero, Tubac
Family activities, kids’ games, obstacle course, face painting, music, entertainment and food booths. Events start at 4 p.m. Fireworks begin at 8:45 p.m. $7 parking per car. Nogales
