First grader missing from Tucson home

First-grader Isabel Mercedes Celis disappeared Friday night. A massive search was conducted today by police, FBI agents, and deputy U.S. Marshals.

Isabel Mercedes Celis’s parents discovered her missing at about 8 a.m. Saturday, and report that they last saw her at 11.p.m. Friday night.

Officials are investigating whether she might have been kidnapped or just wandered off.

Tucson police spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke reports that police have searched the area around East Broadway Boulevard and Craycroft Road.

Hawke said investigators were looking into all potential scenarios, including the possibility that Isabel got up and wandered out of the home she shares with her parents and two brothers or that she was kidnapped, according to Fox News.

Isabel is described as just under 4-feet-tall and weighing 44 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
