Meth distribution ring leader gets 10 years

Alejandro Castro-Vega was sentenced today to the maximum of 10 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections for his involvement operating a methamphetamine distribution ring in the Phoenix metro area.

Over the course of the 10 month long investigation conducted by detectives with the Tempe Police and special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Castro-Vega was responsible for receiving hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine from unknown persons in Mexico which he then distributed to customers within the valley.

Investigators seized over $680,000 in cash from Alejandro Castro-Vega drug proceeds. Castro-Vega, was illegally present in the United States.
