Jason Mathew Klidy, 31, was charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons Class 4 Felony today, after the Department of Public Safety Crime lab identified him as a suspect involved with an IED.
On Monday, April 2, 2012, the DPS Bomb Squad was called out to assist Pinal County Sheriff’s Office with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosive found on the side of the road.
After rendering the device safe, the items of evidence were submitted to the DPS Crime lab for testing. Forensic tests identified Jason Mathew Klidy, 31, as the suspect.
Today, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Wanted Task Force, Klidy was arrested on an outstanding warrant. An interview was conducted to question Klidy on his involvement with the IED, Klidy admitted to constructing and placing the IED that was found on the side of the road.
